This beautiful stone mansion occupies a delightful spot on a village square facing a 19th-century church. The tranquillity of the surroundings is matched by the hotel’s relaxing ambience.
The Library Hotel Wellness Retreat has just 11 rooms, each one individually designed and opening up to the courtyard. From each accommodation, there are views of the village and the surrounding mountains. All are luxuriously furnished and feature high ceilings and marble bathrooms, with exquisite attention to detail.
Amid the old world opulence is a swish spa called the Potamonde Wellness Baths. Guests can luxuriate in a mud steam bath, the herbal baths and experience a range of body-invigorating treatments.
This adults-only secluded retreat is blessed with a smart and stately interior that includes a grand library lounge with a beautiful open fireplace and a selection of books available for guests to read, covering such topics as philosophy, health and nature.
In addition to the delights of the village of Kalavassos, the hotel is close to numerous places of interest including the medieval castle of Limassol and the Public Garden and the ancient city of Acanthus, the home of Aphrodite.
The hotel boasts a superb spa offering a roster of body pampering treatments that leave you feeling amazing. They include mud steam baths in a room infused with aromas of Cyprus spring blossom, herbal baths, hot stone massage, trigger point therapy and more.
The Mitos Restaurant fires on all cylinders with a la carte Mediterranean meals and a buffet breakfast with organic ingredients. Lunch and dinners can be washed down with local and international wines from the cellar. The Library Hotel Wellness Rereat is in the heart of Kalavassos village which sits on the slopes of the Vassilikos river valley. The coastline is approximately three kilometres from the hotel and Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca International Airport are each about 30 minutes away by car.
