This well-loved hotel is something of an institution. Its appeal goes far beyond nostalgia: the hotel features an extensive seafront terrace, a large outdoor freshwater pool, and a unique seawater rock pool. Dining options include the charming Anchor Restaurant, a fish eatery set on a small peninsula almost surrounded by the sea. All floors are accessible by lift, though there are steps leading to the Anchor Restaurant.

If relaxing in front of the stunning sea view of The Dome Hotel is not enough to spoil you, the bustling harbour is just on your doorstep, bursting with yachts and boats just waiting to prize you away. Its quaint little shops, restaurants, bars and local cafes are popular by day and by night. The picturesque harbour is a place of history and natural beauty. Once lined with warehouses, stored with fruits of the countryside awaiting export, these buildings are now mostly restaurants, all of which have tables and chairs lining the sparkling sea waters. The castle at the east end of the harbour is a spectacular site, definitely worth a visit. Within its walls there is a 12 century chapel showing reused late Roman capitals and a shipwreck museum, frequently visited by both locals and tourists.
The Icon Museum, located in the former Greek Orthodox Arkhangelos Church is great for exploring both art and history. You can wander around three levels containing fascinating exhibits and icons. Opposite the Museum are the remains of Byzantine catacombs, currently with a restaurant on top! Around 70 of these tombs still remain in Kyrenia, although the majority are now built over.

The Dome Hotel is unique being the only hotel in the harbour that has access to its own private beach. Its stunning seafront area is perfect for relaxing and guests have the privilege of accessing the sea for a refreshing swim via the stairs going straight down into the crystal blue waters of The Mediterranean.
The Dome offers a variety of swimming options, including a freshwater pool and a natural seawater pool, both surrounded by loungers with stunning sea views. A shallow children’s pool is also available. Beyond the pools, the lower-level terraces with soft green lounging areas provide a peaceful spot to relax beside the gentle waves. Swimming in the spacious seawater pool, replenished naturally by the tide each day, is a truly memorable experience. Guests can also enjoy refreshing drinks at the convenient pool bar, open during the summer months.
Breakfast is served as an open buffet in the main restaurant. The Green Hall offers à la carte lunch and dinner, while the Anchor, located on the Dome Pier, specialises in fresh seafood. The American Bar and Café Dome are open year-round, and the poolside restaurants serve snacks and drinks during the summer months. On select occasions, guests can enjoy afternoon tea in the lounge during cocktail hour, accompanied by the elegant sounds of live piano music.
Occasionally, the Dome Hotel offers evening entertainment, including traditional Tavern nights with live music in the restaurant or bar (subject to seasonal changes). Step outside, and the heart of Kyrenia Harbour awaits, bustling with lively bars, restaurants, and local shops — there’s always something to see and do.
