Ideally set in the foothills of the Kyrenia mountain range, midway between the historic village of Bellapais and the town of Kyrenia, the Altinkaya Holiday Resort is a popular choice for couples. The whitewashed resort is surrounded by alluring gardens creating a tranquil atmosphere. An outdoor swimming pool is conveniently complemented by a poolside snack bar to enhance guests' stay.

The hotel is just a 5-minute drive from the magnificent Bellapais Abbey, a 13th-century monastery renowned for its stunning Gothic architecture and breathtaking views over Kyrenia Bay. If you enjoy walking, you can take the ancient Crusader Path from the village of Ozankoy to the beautiful village of Bellapais. Instead of heading for Kyrenia from the Altinkaya, go east to Ozankoy village. You will find the Ozankoy Bookshop in the heart of this traditional village, and they will give you directions. It is quite an easy walk and well worth the views when you get there! The Ozankoy Carob festival is held in August, a great insight into local traditions and culture.

Just 10 minutes from the hotel is Kyrenia Harbour, a lively and picturesque spot where historic charm meets vibrant activity. Stroll along the waterfront lined with cafés, restaurants, and bars, explore the impressive Venetian castle and its museums, or set off on a boat trip along the coast. Kyrenia is the heart of the island’s tourist scene, blending rich history with modern leisure perfectly.
